New Study Links Childhood Anaemia to an Increased Risk of Learning Difficulties

Every parent hopes that their child grows to be strong, smart and healthy. Unfortunately, new research by The James Cook University has linked early childhood anaemia to an increased developmental disadvantage in young children. Sadly this disease has been highly documented in Indigenous communities, impacting 60 percent of babies in remote Far North Queensland.

We were joined by Dympna Lenord, Senior Lecturer from James Cook University to talk more about this research.
