New Technology for Parkinson’s Disease Sufferers

According to the latest Parkinson’s Australia statistics, on average, 38 new cases of Parkinson’s Disease are diagnosed every day, and 14,000 new cases will be diagnosed in 2018. Around 32 Aussies are diagnosed with it every day and 20% of sufferers are under 50 years of age while 10% are dealt with it before the age of 40. But there may be good news for Parkinson’s sufferers, as scientists from the Bionics Institute in Melbourne may have found a way to use electrodes on the brain to control tremors.
