New Zealand Smoking Ban

Last week the New Zealand government banned sales of tobacco products to anyone born after 2008. This legislation passed with aspects that limit the amount of nicotine in cigarettes – making them less addictive – and limiting the number of sales outlets of tobacco products. 

Dr Kathryn Barnsley, a Tobacco control researcher and advocate from the University of Tasmania joined ‘The Daily’ to talk about what this legislation across the Tasman means for Australians.
