North and South Korea Relations Up in Smoke?

In the news this week, North Korea blew up a liaison office originally set up just north of the DMZ to improve relations with the South in response to defectors’ plans to send anti-Pyongyang propaganda leaflets across the border. Kim Jong-un’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, had said the office was ‘useless’, but how did it get to this, and where to from here for the north and south?
