NSW snow resorts feel the (frosty) bite of Sydney lockdown

Greater Sydney’s snap lockdown has thrown school holiday plans into disarray as an enforced regional travel ban and closed borders have caused holidaymakers to cancel winter plans. Ski businesses and accommodation in the Snowy Mountains normally experience their peak season now but instead, have been left clamoring to fill new vacancies with regional visitors. As COVID-19 restrictions have forced bookings to be called off, the question remains if state government support packages will be sufficient to cover the high overheads of the industry and its short, seasonal nature.
