Old Crafts: Aussie Whip Making

Here in Sydney there’s really not too much utility in an Australian stockwhip whips other than perhaps… recreational purposes. But in the country they’re an essential tool. The intricate art of hand-plaiting leather to fashion a whip is a tradition that goes back generations. The Thursday Daily’s Stef Posthuma wanted to find out more so he got one of Australia’s finest whip-makers, Gayle Nemeth on the line to tell us all about this historic craft.
