There have been so many political scandals in the last fortnight that it’s been hard to keep track. One scandal that isn’t going away however, is the so-called “Paladin Affair”. Paladin Security was a little-known company that was lifted from obscurity when it was inexplicably granted a government tender to provide security at the Manus Island detention centre. It’s been revealed that the company is charging taxpayers $1600 per person per night to house people on Manus.
