Plagiarism in the Public Eye

With Melania Trump’s speech at the republican convention going viral due to the apparent plagiarism from Michelle Obamas 2008 speech at the democratic convention, it’s raised many questions of if individuals actually know what plagiarism is and the consequences that one can face more – particularly in politics – if they are caught.

Today the Daily was joined by Dr Ian Freckelton, Professorial Fellow in Law and Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, giving us further insight into plagiarism cases that have happened around the world and if individuals are seeing past the humour of Melanias speech and acknowledging the seriousness of the incident.
