Protesters try to save Wolli Creek Bushland from WestConnex

Protesters have been going toe-to-toe with bulldozers in southwest Sydney to stop them from clearing land at Wolli Creek Valley. Current plans call for the clearing of 1.4 hectares of critically endangered forest home to a number of vulnerable plant and animal species. Sparking even more protester fury is the news that part of the cleared land will only be used as temporary parking spaces for construction equipment. Peter Stevens from the Wolli Creek Preservation Society had a chat with Nic about the fiasco.
