The Queensland Premier’s Drama award is one of Australia’s most expansive opportunities for Playwrights, it is a $30 000 cash prize as well as script development with some of the best minds in Australian theatre.

The Prize will be awarded to a new play that connects to Queensland audiences and will ensure the play is  performed at Queensland Theatre in 2023.

Sally spoke to Lee Lewis, Artistic Director of Queensland Theatre to find out what makes a prize winning play.
