Radioactive Tree Rings can Teach us About Radiation Storms

“If you count a tree’s rings, you can determine its age”

You may be familiar with this phrase, but did you know that radioactive tree rings also reveal Earth’s history of unexplained ‘radiation storms’?

Here to help us understand how trees can reveal more about radiation storms is Dr Benjamin Pope, Lecturer in Astrophysics at the University of Queensland.
