RBA rate cuts and the banks

The RBA to cut interest rates to historic lows of 1.5 % this Tuesday. Some believe that with the cut we’re not prepared in the event of a global recession or external market shocks.
As well as this, there are questions being raised into whether or not there should be a royal commission into the big four banks.

Senior research fellow and economist at the Centre for Independent Studies Michael Potter joins us now to explain it all.
