The Risk on Antibiotics during Pregnancy

A new study released this week suggests that babies born from mothers who take antibiotics during pregnancy may face a 20% higher risk of hospitalisation due to infection. It’s estimated that nationally, one in eight women are prescribed antibiotics during pregnancy and some experts are advising patients to question whether it’s actually necessary when prescribed.
