Regina Botros talks with director Serhat Caradee.

Serhat is

An award winning Australian filmmaker, with a background in acting….having studied at TAPS (the aust  playhouse studio) —in Sydney, UWS Nepean and Actors Centre Australia.

He directed and produced plays before moving to film.

In 2014 he directed Steven Berkoff’s ‘Decadence’ at the Old 505 Theatre, in a sell out run and In 2015 he directed the one act play ‘Speaking Freely’ which made the finals IN the  long running Short + Sweet theatre festival which is on at the moment (and I was artistic director in it’s second year.

He’s won numerous , prizes as a film maker Australian filmmaker, studied at AFTRS

 Serhat graduated with awards from Australia’s premiere film school the AFTRS in directing and his films have screened at many local and international film festivals, winning numerous prizes and awards. Including the features ‘Cedar Boys’ and most recently ‘A Lion Returns’.

 

He is currently working on a range of projects in various stages of development through his production company Bonafide Pictures and others. Serhat’s acting credits include the award winning Australian TV series ‘East-West 101’ and ‘The Principal’, also the 2016 U.S Sci-Fi series ‘Hunters’, produced by Gale Anne Hurd (‘Terminator’ 1 & 2) and created by Natalie Chaidez (‘Heroes’).
