Shampoo Bottles into Prosthetic Limbs

Recyclable shampoo bottles can now potentially be used to make prosthetic limbs. Former hairdresser, Bernie Craven, thought up the idea while working and is currently testing out a prototype. He estimates that it takes between 15 to 20 bottles to make a prosthetic hand. They are cheaper and better for the environment, but could there be any underlying issues? We were joined by theĀ Director and Chief Scientist Officer of consulting company YourResearchProject, Laurent Frossard, to discuss further.
