Social media is now infamous for misinformation and harmful and the skincare industry is social media’s latest victim. Trends like suntanning and beef tallow have taken over the internet but ‘Skinfluencers’ and skincare trends don’t always have care in mind and the people most susceptible to these dangerous trends are  teens and tweens.

Dermatologist, Dr Leona Yip, from Skin Partners in Brisbane, dissects these trends and explains the impacts of following harmful advice from social media as well as what you can do to avoid the misinformation trap.
