The Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has been looking very smug thanks to the figures he just released on the 2019 budget.

It shows a balanced budget thanks mainly to a windfall in commodities – mainly Iron Ore and Coal our two main money earners.

But can we afford any complacency when there are significant economic headwinds from the China US trade war, and down turns in whats left of our local industries as we battle the worst drought in twenty years.

Dr Nicholas Gruen from Lateral Economics thinks a lot more fiscal stimulus is needed.
