Spotting Texting And Driving On NSW Roads

It’s no secret that many drivers on our roads risk their safety and of others by sneaking a quick look at their mobile devices. While the risk of looking away from the road for a few seconds may seem indifferent, a person driving at 60km per hour will travel 330m blinded if they look away for 20 seconds. So will this new technology reduce road fatalities and make our roads safer? Professor Mark Stevenson academic for Urban Transport and Public health at the University of Melbourne, joined us to discuss this.
