Steve Rodgers on Every Brilliant Thing

It’s not often that the sole character in a one-person play can be played by a man or a woman. But “Every Brilliant Thing”, a play about a child with a parent with mental health issues is no ordinary play.

Tackling serious issues head-on through structured dialogue and audience interaction, “Every Brilliant Thing” is a show where anything can happen. The main character was played by the great Kate Mulvany but now co-director Steve Rodgers is jumping into the ring.

Steve talked to Tess about the play, his experiences transitioning from directing the play to starring in it and where the play can be caught.
