In observing his relentless touring cycle throughout Sydney’s Inner-West, you might expect Doctor Robot [from the year nine million] to be a local. For this recently-turned humanoid, however, this could not be further from the truth. Doctor Robot is a visitor from another time and place, a time where humans have been replaced by holograms and money has been surpassed by grooves as the central form of currency. Despite his otherworldliness, Doctor Robot has developed a cult-like status throughout Sydney’s underground. Sub-stage tunnels, indestructible display cubes and impressive flute solos are all to be seen at a live show that has to be seen to be believed.
