Talu Tales: Closing Gender Gap in STEM with Kids Books

Take a second to imagine what a scientist looks like. Now what gender are they? If you’re like two thirds of children aged 9 to 11, you were probably thinking of a man.

While women are making huge steps within STEM and leadership they’re still underrepresented within our children’s literature. In recent years only 1/5th of the best selling children’s books feature female leaders. Enter two ex-Googlers, Annabel Blake and Deborah Hoe, who are hoping to tackle the underrepresentation of women in STEM through their book series, “Talu Tales”.

To find out more, we were joined by Annabel Blake, Co-founder and Author of Talu Tales.
