The Correspondent, a new film reenactment following former journalist Peter Greste was released on Thursday on the 17th of April, by director Kriv Stenders. Peter was a journalist and foreign correspondent, and back in 2013 over the Christmas break whilst covering for another reporter, Peter and two other Al Jezeera journalists were arrested by Egyptian authorities in Ciaro.

Later in June 2014, they were found guilty of falsifying news and having a negative impact on overseas perceptions of the country, and both sentenced to seven years prison. The Australian Government intervened and negotiated on his behalf with a new Egyptian government.
