‘The Heart is a Muscle’ coming to 2025 Sydney Film Festival

‘The Heart is a Muscle’ follows the story of a young father who loses his 5-year-old son at a family BBQ which sets off a series of panic-filled events which forces him to confront his dark violent past. The film is written and directed by South African filmmaker Imran Hamdulay.
Imran joined Oly on Tuesday Daily to discuss the themes of masculinity, South Africa’s apartheid history in the Cape Flats plus his inspiration for the film.
