High Price of Human Organ Trafficking

While organ transplantation is one of the miracles of medical science, worldwide demand continues to outstrip supply, enabling an illicit commercial market of organ trafficking and transplant tourism to flourish in some overseas destinations. A recent parliamentary report outlines key recommendations for deterring organ trafficking in Australia and internationally.

The Daily’s Julia Carr-Catzel spoke about this with the Honorable Kevin Andrews, MP, Chair of the Human Rights Sub-Committee of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade.
