The Improving Drinking Habits of Aussie Teens

It’s no secret alcohol is virtually a rite of passage in Australian culture.

However, a recent study in the journal Alcohol and Alcoholism has found that Aussie teenagers are actually giving up drinking at a higher rate than everyone else. 13% of 14 to 17-year-olds claimed to have recently given up alcohol altogether. 

This morning on Breakfast Tess was joined by Amy Pennay, Lead Researcher at La Trobe University’s Centre for Alcohol Policy Research, to discuss this anomaly in alcohol research and what these findings reveal.
