For another instalment of the Monday Daily’s local gig guide, Oscar and Jarred gave a re cap of some of the shows they caught on the weekend and discussed some of the must see gigs coming up this week:

Peel 19/3 

First up this week, we have, as you may already know, one of Oscar and Jared’s favorite bands, PEEL, who will be launching their second single ‘DYNA’ at the Factory Floor on Friday, March 19th. Oscar was lucky enough to catch up with the bands lead singer and guitarist Mr. Nick Stillman, talking a little bit about the new singles intergalactic background and why you should come along to the show.

Monkey Spanner 20/3 

Next up we have something a little bit different, the two tone cover band Monkey Spanner are playing on Saturday at the Vanguard. They are the real deal, with a full brass section, keys, guitars and all the clobber to match – they play with an intensity and energy that will have you skanking into the nigh. They’ll be playing through covers from classic ska bands like the specials, madness and the beat. 

There will be 2 sittings on the night. Session times are as follows;

Show 1 – 6pm – 8.30pm.

Show 2 – 9:30pm – 12am.
