The Nationals call for a review of the IPC after the Bylong Coal Project is refused

Kepco’s $700 million Bylong Valley Coal Mine Project has been rejected by the Independent Planning Commission on the grounds of  Environmental, agricultural and heritage concern. 

Tahlia speaks with Michael Johnson the Nationals MP for the Upper Hunter, on the changes the Nationals are proposing to the IPC and how the refusal of the mine impacts the local community. She talks to Professor Jeremy Moss a professor of Political Philosophy at UNSW on what this decision means for the future of coal in Australia.
