As we gear up for another electoral cycle, the “Jobs and Future of Work” speech delivered last Tuesday by Labor leader Anthony Albanese showcased the political ambition of Labor to solve issues relating to our economy, our resource sector and the potential for smart manufacturing. 

However, whilst his speech did illuminate the right issues, are his words anything more than just empty promises?
