The year everything got cancelled: arts edition

As we settle into a strange half-life amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic, a number of industries have had to completely adapt. It goes without saying that the arts industry in particular has greatly suffered, with the prioritisation of ‘essential’ businesses, arts not being one of them. 

Monday Drive chatted to Professor Jo Caust, Principal Fellow in the School of Culture & Communication at the University of Melbourne. She is here to tell us all about the Australian arts sector throughout the year filled with lockdowns and social distancing, how arts degrees have also suffered, and yet, the small silver linings that we can still see throughout it all.
