This Day in History, Feb 26th

Crashlanding right into a time vortex in the 2ser TARDIS, today’s date we find the Mongols occupying Kaifeng, the capital of the Jin dynasty, leading to a nasty end for their emperor and the Jin dynasty as a whole shortly thereafter. Galileo Galilei was formally banned today by the Roman Catholic Church for his view that the earth orbits the sun and remains of Mungo Man were discovered at Lake Mungo, New South Wales, dated to around 40,000 years old! Plus birthdays for  Victor Hugo, Peter Brock, Fats Domino, Sharon Van Etten, and Johnny Cash.
