This Day in History, February 12th

The mysteries of time, revealed before your very ears! On today’s date, February 12th, in 1593 around 2,300 Joseon defenders successfully repelled more than 30,000 Japanese soldiers in the Siege of Haengju. John Macarthur received 100 acres at Parramatta today in 1793 where he established Elizabeth Farm, today one of Australia’s oldest homes, and 1935 the USS Macon, one of the two largest helium-filled airships ever created, crashed into the Pacific Ocean sinking “about 3 million dollars there in about 20 minutes”. Plus birthdays for Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin, Judy Blume, Joe Schermie, and Steve Hackett of Genesis!
