This Day in History, May 21st

Sifting the sands of time for a few chunky May 21st nuggets, today the period known as the Tetrarchy during the Roman Empire began when Roman Emperors Diocletian and Maximian appointed Galerius as Caesar to Diocletian. Mount Unzen on Japan’s Shimabara Peninsula erupted, killing about 15,000 in Japan’s deadliest volcanic eruption, and eight decaying bodies were found in a disused bank vault north of Adelaide, marking the beginning of the Snowtown murders case. Also celebrating birthdays for Malcolm Fraser, Mr T, Dr Gabi Hollows, and Christopher George Latore Wallace AKA Notorious B.I.G!
