Toddler Food Contains Enough Sugar To Be Considered Confectionery

Heinz food targeted towards toddlers has been said to contain so much sugar, it should be considered confectionery the Federal Court has recently heard. In June last year, ACCC has launched legal action against Heinz It is alleged the company was misleading the public about the nutritional content of their “Little Kids Shredz” range, with some snacks containing up to 68.7 grams. With so much sugar in kids food there’s days, just what constitutes a healthy snack?
The Daily spoke to Associate Professor Heather Yeatman from the University of Wollongong about these sugary snacks.
