The Tourism Industry: The non-Instagrammable side
The global tourism industry is currently worth $7.17 trillion dollars, but some countries may not be able to cope with such a high demand. Popular locations such as Hawaii can have tourists outnumbering the permanent residents over the course a year, so the question lies whether countries have the ability to determine how much tourism they can sustain.
