Tropical Fu*k Storm talk Voodoo Dolls, King Gizz, and Jordan Peele

Since their first album ‘A Laughing Death in Meatspace’ in 2018, Tropical Fu*k Storm have continued to pave the way sonically with two subsequent albums. Their most recent LP ‘Deep States’ – released at the end of 2021 – was met with the usual acclaim. After considerable delays and cancellations, the band is finally taking the album on the road! Beginning in Australia with their Fu*k The Rain Away Tour, TFS are then due to visit Europe and the US.

Moonburn, a new maxi-single cassette and 7” vinyl, is due to arrive at the end of the month. Just last week, TFS dropped a cover of The Stooges’ ‘Ann’ with bassist Kiona Kitschin delivering vocals. Paired with ‘a deranged sound collage of guitar feedbacks, siren noises, and electronics,’ this cover marks the first of four tracks to be released, including the new single ‘Moonburn,’ an acoustic arrangement of the fan favourite ‘Aspirin,’ and a cover of ‘Heaven’ by Talking Heads.

The deranged music video for ‘Ann’ was uploaded yesterday, which the band describes as ‘A cheap sh*t DIY, high explosive puppeteering miniature concert shrinkage film clip.”

Tropical Fu*ck Storm’s frontman Gareth Liddiard joins Tuesday Drive’s Felix Shannon to discuss the band’s Fu*k The Rain Away Tour, their upcoming release, and everything in-between.
