Should pregnant women receive a COVID-19 vaccine?

Having a baby is a stressful time for women during their pregnancy, and with NSW currently facing strict lockdowns due to COVID-19, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has recently announced that pregnant women would be made a priority for receiving the Pfizer vaccine during one of Australia’s newest COVID-19 vaccine rollouts. This has raised questions and concerns with pregnant women in the community still undecided on what their safest option would be. Professor of Midwifery Hannah Dahlen from Western Sydney University, spoke with 2SER to answer these questions as well as discussed her article which addressed that pregnant women can receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
