Australia is looking to adopt vaccine passports to grant vaccinated citizens more freedoms both domestically and by potentially reopening international travel. So far however, one of the biggest issues has been technological set backs with faulty and limited check-in apps.

Now the Australian Government has contracted international IT company Accenture to digitise incoming passenger declarations and link in vaccination status. While this may be a step forward along the ‘road to freedom’, sharing the health information of Australians with a foreign multinational company may have long term implications.
