Wah Wah Wah’s debut in Australia!

Wah Wah Wah’s are a 4 piece psychedelic-rock band hailing from Seoul, South Korea!

They’ve just come down under for their debut Australian shows, performing in Sydney and Melbourne as part of the Ones to watch series by Live Nations. A collaborative event hosted by Live Nations Australia x Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), which brought together 4 incredible artists including Wah Wah Wah, CIFIKA, Sion and SaySueMe.

Wah Wah Wah’s debuted as a full band in 2021, with guitarist/singer Kim Soo-hyun (DTSQ), bassist Joonseop (DTSQ), drummer Seo Won-Seok (Dead Buttons) & guitarist Choi Woong-Hee (Silica Gel). Crafting music in genre-blending psychedelic rock with both retro and contemporary influences.

Annie spoke with the band’s drummer, Won-seok to find out about the lore behind the band’s name,  a spontaneous show with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard in Korea and some helpful tips on spotting Australia’s incredible wildlife, like drop bears.
