Waste woes as recycling export laws change

As of today, plastics will only be eligible for export if they have been sorted into single resin or polymer type, or processed with other materials into processed engineered fuel.

While the government says this change will create new jobs and new opportunities for industries to recycle onshore, many industry bodies say they aren’t ready for the ban.
