The Weekly Wrap with Geoff Field

Geoff Field joins Nic to cover all the big stories of week that was.

Transport was a big focus this week: power outages at Sydney Airport caused major delays on Friday, NSW Transport announced it was planning to privatise another bus route in the Inner West, $1bn will be spent on upgrading Central Station and Sydney Trains will cut about 94 services a week in an attempt to avoid another major timetable meltdown.

In the US, President Donald Trump announced steel and aluminium tariffs, and The Shape of Water took out Best Picture at the Oscars on Monday night.

And Thursday was International Women’s Day, where it was revealed that there is still a whopping 17.2% gender pay gap in Australia.
