#WeLiveHere2017

In 2015 the NSW Government announced they were planning to undertake a massive redevelopment of the suburb of Waterloo in the inner city. This proposed redevelopment of the towers would displace over 3600 elderly, disabled and low income people to make space for private housing and commercial properties.

The Welivehere2017 movement, aims to put a human face to public housing and encourage compassion and action towards the rapid urban development.

The Daily’s Sam Baran was joined by Karyn a resident of Waterloo to discuss the movement and the effect the proposed redevelopment could have on the community.
