What Will Medevac Mean for Asylum Seekers?

The government suffered a massive defeat yesterday when the medevac bill passed in the House of Representatives. The bill would make it easier to conduct medical transfers from Manus Island and Nauru, allowing asylum seekers requiring medical treatment to be brought to Australia for treatment. The bill has now been passed in the Senate. On the Daily we spoke to Marcella Brassett, campaigns manager at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre about what this means for asylum seekers.
