Which Way is China

Melbourne band Primitive Calculators were the founders of the Little Bands Movement over here in the late 70’s and the scene in China currently is looking very similar. When China relaxed their cultural laws, 50 years of musical influences flooded in all at once. What is happening now as a result is a very vibrant music scene. Touring China with Primitive Calculators, Sydney filmmaker Jake Lloyd-Jones documented the journey to give us a look into the diverse world of the underground Chinese music scene. His feature film Which Way is China is being screened on the 8th of December at Gumbramorra Hall at the Addison Road Community Centre in Marrickville. There will be live music, with headliners Primitive Calculators and you can RSVP here.
