Most polls predicted a narrow win for Labor last weekend, so, why didn’t they? The Australian Election Study considers long-term trends and public opinion surveys, and may be able to explain Saturday’s federal election result. As with everything in life, it seems that this election may have come come down to trust, popularity, and taxes.
