In recent years, we have seen many high-profile athletes, including Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles, start to talk more openly about their mental health struggles.

And the unexpected death of  NRL premiership-winning coach Paul Green has recently opened up conversations about why the mental health struggles of elite sporting coaches have remained notably ignored by the sporting world.

2SER Breakfast’s Danny Chiefly was joined by Vita Pilkington, research assistant at the University of Melbourne, to talk about why elite sporting coaches are largely neglected in the public conversation about mental health.
