How Will NSW’s New Revenge Porn Laws Affect Young People?

The New South Wales Government is planning to make it illegal to create and distribute “revenge porn”, meaning anybody caught doing this pretty sickening act could face jail time.
Attorney General Gabrielle Upton said this type of sexual image sharing is typically done by ex-lovers, with many cases involving women who are forced to pose for the camera by their abusive partners.

After an enquiry by the Upper House, it’s looking like these new laws are finally addressing this problem. But is it the right way to go about it?

Katie Acheson, CEO of Youth Action joined us on The Daily to talk about how these new laws will affect young people.
