Women’s March Sydney 2019

You may remember when in 2017, activists took the streets in sweeping worldwide protests shortly after the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

The regressive policies of Trump’s campaign, criticised for being misogynistic and discriminatory, were protested by a record-breaking 5 million people, making it the largest mass political protest in history to date.

Now in its third year running, Women’s March Sydney is joining the international movement, set to gather in solidarity for equal rights.

The Daily’s Julia Carr-Catzel spoke with Jaime Evans, the organiser of the event.
