Would you clone your pet?

Almost all of us have lost a much-loved pet, but would you consider cloning them after they’ve died, and raising the clone? That’s what singer and actress Barbra Streisand decided to do when her dog Sammie passed away last year. But even if you did follow down the $50-100K path that Barbra has chosen, would the clones really turn out to be exact replicas of your original beloved pet? Professor Russell Bonduriansky, an Evolutionary Biologist at the University of NSW, called in to explain how you might go about cloning your pet, and what the result could be.
