Many councils across the state are set the face to chopping board later this year as the state government pushes for mergers. So have the views of those initially opposed changed?

The Baird government is moving ahead with its plan to merge dozens of NSW metropolitan and regional local governments. The government says that it will increase efficiency but many reject this and oppose the government’s measures.
