Helping parents whose children have an intellectual disability

The Triple P Positive Parenting Program aims to equip parents with strategies to build strong and healthy relationships with their children.

Running for more than 35 years across 25 countries, the program is planning to extend its reach with Stepping Stones – a program aimed particularly at parents with children with a developmental disability.

Sheena Arora from the University of Technology Sydney is conducting an economic evaluation of the program for her PHD, and says it could fill an important gap for parents who have often found themselves alone and struggling to cater to their child’s needs.
